My daughter drew her first Jr tag in Nv. She is pretty excited and ready for some scouting trips. With the research I've done so far I really like the Wassuk range east of Walker Lake. It's up to 11k elevation, lots of good looking draws and canyons with plenty of cover from what I see on Google Earth. I've got a ranch to check out from advise from a member that usually allows hunting with permission south of the range so I will def be checking that out. My kid wants to try with a bow first then rifle if she doesn't get it done with her bow.
My question is this. I would assume there is deer here all year long but from what I am reading they migrate there from Ca. So would it be better to concentrate on the late rifle season to see if the bigger bucks move in?
Thanks all
