I have used this forum to gather information for some time, but I now am seeing if anyone would possibly be willing to have a conversation about this area that has some experience. My old man was blessed with the opportunity to hunt 36A-2 in Idaho with a Rifle Oct 1. I have a few spots in mind to hike in and check out, we will be bivy hunting for 2-3 days depending on water conditions and sign. We are both avid whitetail hunters and last year was our first year chasing elk with a bow. After countless hours studying, practicing, and conditioning we were able to call in 5 bulls in 6 days in northern idaho last september. Unfortunately it never fell into place but incredible strides were made in the elk woods and I look forward to learning more this year with the same bow tag, followed by my old mans rifle tag.
