Just watched Ready Number One. The message was to focus on what is real and important, a good thought. Hobbies like hunting, especially hunting, and other entertainment can crowd out what really matters, whether that is the people in our life or the God who is and ought to be the center of it all.

I love Bruce Shelley's opening line in his book, Church History in Plain Language - "Christianity is the only major religion that has as its central event the humiliation of its God." A completely voluntary humiliation of the highest order, the greatest imaginable act of sacrifice ever because of the greatest love imaginable. This weekend we ratchet up our continual celebration of that love and sacrifice, of victory over death, hell and the grave and the gift of life.
