Headed to iowa sunday night!! Ready to get out of here. Hopefully its cold and deer are moving!! Any one have any updates or headed up in the next 2 weeks?

The temp here in north central Missouri has dropped 40 degrees since yesterday, and it's supposed to stay cool for a while, so that should help. The corn harvest should be pretty much complete in Iowa right now, so that will really help you to see some deer.

Have a good hunt!

I have family out there and am headed that way for 2nd shotgun. I just talked to a buddy that said the deer are starting to move and he has seen some smaller bucks dogging does.

Yeah I have been following the weather for next week and half looks good. Wished I was there this sat. Down here in MS its gonna be 80 degrees and nothing has been moving.

Thats a brute. I have 200 acres in West-Central Illinois and I'm going to hit it hard this weekend. I haven't even been out yet. I got really sick during my antelope hunt the first week of October (unbelievable wind and then bitter cold). just completed my third round of antibiotics; finally feeling better. Anyway, EHD hit my area extremely bad. We have counted 17 dead deer this far but looks like a frost will come with this weekends cold weather and kill the midges that spread this horrible disease. Trail cams haven't picked up any bruisers yet but that's typical until the rut kicks in.
