As the title says…….
I don't particularly like spiders or snakes…. (The rattle snake den video did make me think twice).
I'll even go in the pump house with a can of Raid or take on a snake with a shovel or pistol.

One of my hunting partners gags every time he opens up an elk or deer.
I guess everyone has something they can't handle.

I think I found my "Fear Factor" task last night.
I've been known to be a little cheap and the routine visits to the Vet for my lab have been getting old.
Finally, last month the vet said to me…. "this is really not a big deal, you can clean out your Labs ANAL Glands yourself".
Hey, I like saving a few bucks, how hard could it be?

I watched all the YouTube vids, read 10 internet articles, and was armed with vassoline, latex gloves, and baby wipes. I even had my wife along moral support. Nothing prepared me or my pup for the traumatic next 10 minutes. There should have been a label "Contents under pressure". I don't think the grass or my romeo slippers will ever be the same.

I think I'll just pay the $35 every time my girl does the carpet scoot.

That is funny! I feel bad for you, though. We tried that with our little Corgi. Not so fun. We leave it to the vet or groomers now. You were more prepared than us, we actually probably should do it again. Oh my does that stuff stink, too! Our shepard mutt just takes it like a pro now. The first couple times she was like what the h*** are you doing back there freak? Are you just going to watch these guys do this to me? but it must help because now she doesn't mind. I will have to remember the tool kit you had with you, and maybe add in a respirator for when I decide that it is a DIY thing again to save money, too. By the way are those the same slippers you got your elk in?

Never dun it. Did have a dog spray me on the way to the vet. after getting mauled by the neighbors rots. I gagged and heaved all the way there!

this is some funny shiz..... yuck and no way am i doin that, come to think of it i wonder if thats why that gal stunk so bad a while back, she needed an anal cleanse......

My sister owns her own mobile dog grooming business. She does this too dogs all day long. Its nasty.

is this just a female dog type thing. we have two little s***head dogs. one male, the other female, and I have noticed recently that the female has been doing the scoot, the male has never done this.

Our dogs have a monthly visit to Petsmart to get groomed, bathed, nails grinded & glands done....I tried it all once and would much rather pay someone else to do it.
