I am really interested in archery hunting Unit 36A and 49 in Idaho this year. Does anyone have experience hunting these units and would you be willing to chat privately?

49 gets pretty busy. Finding holes in the backcountry away from people can be difficult between outfitter and horse camps.

Hunted this unit last year and will be back again this September. I also put in for the rifle tag but thats a hard draw!! Unit is nice and has a good heard but you better be in shape to get to the animals and then to get them out!! Super steep. There were A LOT of hunters but most stuck within a mile or two of the roads. You have to get out and hike a ways to get to them. We used mules and it was still a hard hunt!!
