I'll bring the body armor then..lol...I don't think you get into Valhalla if you get shot by a guy rocking hunter orange..never know . opening day with the orange head army , may make afghanistan look tame in comparison.

Been gun hunting elk in the Salmon as a nonresident before it was the Salmon zone. Last year the Tags were gone in March. And the year before it was June. They go faster and faster, So many ppl hunting there in gun season I will never again be there. Started archery hunting there last fall, not as manty ppl but still some. Go hunt and enjoy bet expect some company.

I hunted the salmon zone last year for archery sept 9-18 only herd 3 bugles and passed a calf up . One of the 3 bugles was a bull I pretty much stepped on and was able to call him into 40 yds but he stopped behind a dead spruce tree qt to me no shot . He was a good bull probably 300 in so that made my trip and 28 hr drive worth it . I didn?t seen a single wolf track or hear one the whole time and was able to shoot some grouse . It?s step and rugged be prepared . Good luck
