Daughter and son-in-law both have moose tags in Idaho. After a few hunting trips, we've have seen about 6 bulls so far. Since most of them were small that we saw, it was decided to take a small bull and at least fill the freezer due to time constraints and focus on a larger one later.
Here is a "management bull" that we harvested. It was an easy pack out, about 20 feet, which was a definite plus when he decided to pull the trigger with a 50 caliber muzzleloader. A finishing shot with a pistol put him down for good, which was exciting due to the close range. Small antler on one side and the other had a an antler growing back into his head. Just had some great times enjoying seeing moose, fishing and the scenery.
Hopefully, I'll have another picture to share with a larger one!
