Idaho Elk Unit 46/47 this December

Hello anyone. I'm a Super Hunt winner this year and in the Marines down here in SoCal (29 Palms). Looks like I will be able to break away after Christmas and head to 46/47 to finish out the year - can anyone help me narrow my search for elk in their wintering grounds. A quick glance at the map seems that they may be heading out of No NV to winter in the high desert. My biggest concern down there is access. Willing to listen....

How does the super hunt work, can you hunt any unit with an open season? I dont know much about that area but it looks to be about your only option that late in the year. Good Luck!

livingston99 was wondering how your elk hunt went in 46/47.Been hearing good things down there but never have hunted it. was thinking about putting in for a tag down there but didn't have any information . Anything your willing to offer would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for posting so late but that is a really good area if you draw a tag.... my friend has had 2 tags out there shot a 346 bull the first year and the second time he shot a 364 bull both with a bow

haha i dont know how i keep missing this thred, dorry idelkfvr. i hunted 54 for the archery tag, had some hook ups to take me into 46 but i had allready shot my bull by the time it came around. from the pics i seen in 46, wow! 54 was amazing but good luck getting a tag.
