what gun you got there??
Winchester Model 94 30-30 that my Dad gave me when I was 12. I hadn't used it in years but decided to put that Scout scope on it and put it to use. I love packing that gun! I've killed 4 large black bears with it in recent years as well as a handful of whitetail and blacktail deer. For the wolf it was the ideal gun. Spotted her at about 125 yards and had to take a snap shot before she reached cover and it worked out just right.

You reminded me why I let my son kill that dandy whitetail. I gave him my 270 when he turned 12 and at the time of that hunt the 30-30 was the only rifle I owned (I mostly archery hunt) and what I was packing when I spotted the buck at 300 yards.

I have made three trips to Idaho. First was a mule deer hunt as a kid. Tag soup. Second trip I shot a decent whitetail and then on my third hunt I shot this cool bull. I would really like to go hunt bears next.

couple of more. The guy in camo is often reffered to as the predator. I don't have a picture of his bull this year, but very impressive.

those dark timber bulls are so damn pretty, that's one reason I don't like hunting the open desert, there are some huge bulls but they just aren't the same creature if you know what I mean. very cool pics

I thought the same thing....then I thought how painful that pack out must have been.

Great picture!
