I'm still in a daze over my good fortune concerning my 54 elk tag. I'm so grateful for the opportunity. I've always wanted to hunt bulls in the rut with a smokepole. This is gonna be fun. Thanks for all the support. I am open for any tips on the unit, as I've never hunted elk in this area. Unique opportunity for sure. AND, yes I've already picked up my tag...... It's real!

Congrats again. Wish I could help.....hunted NV 081 ten years ago which is tucked up on 54's south border.
