I can let you know what I see during my goat hunt, but with a rut hunt scouting won't matter as much. Just gotta look at as many bucks as possible!

Hey everyone, wanted to introduce myself. Some of you guys I am sure know me. I am on a lot of northwest forums and this is my first year and 1st year as a eastmans subscriber. Well I got super lucky in the draws and got the 1 non resident rifle tag for the early 46-1 hunt. After using the mrs to pick the hunts to apply for. My season is the 15th of October to the 9th of November. I am starting all my planning and already have my first scouting trip on the books.

A little back story on me. I have been chasing elk for 12 years here in wa. I have been lucky enough to kill 5 antlerless elk, in 12 years. 4 with a bow and last year with a rifle. I have a bull curse on me and hoping that this is lucky number 13 lol.

If anyone else had had this tag and can give me some pointer and maybe some areas to concentrate my efforts on it would be greatly appreciated. I will gladly share any success photos and story after the hunt.

I am stoked I drew 45 archery bull and 21A archery antelope. Anyone have any pictures of bulls taken off 45? Can't wait to get out and set up some cameras to see what's roaming around.

first congrats! should be an awesome hunt.
above pic is about what you can expect to see. he's not the biggest I have seen there but is one of the biggest. A 330 OR SO BULL IS not a pipe dream. word of advise if you can get access to some of the private properties , do it.there be bulls on the public but there also be people

Drew 49 bull elk! Dad and uncle drew deer and dad drew 49 cow. Gonna be good times in Idaho for us!!
I swung and missed on 49. I'll be in there in September with my bow though. I'll try to remember to leave a decent bull there for you.
