Hello all, I have been looking for an archery spring turkey and fall archery or rifle whitetail deer hunting lease in Kansas for quite some time now. I have tried basecamp leases, Hunting lease network, public land, ect....
It may just be me but most of the decent tracts I have found are down right ridiculous on price. If anyone has a farm available or maybe knows of someone with a farm they would rent out, please let me know. I am very respectful to both the game I hunt and the land I will be hunting on. I am willing to carry lease insurance if required by the landowner and would prefer meeting the landowner before any agreement was made.
If nothing comes along in Kansas I will also be looking in Nebraska for the turkey hunting lease and northwestern Oklahoma for the deer hunting lease. Thank you guys for any input!
If anyone reads this who has already found their dream lease, feel free to throw me a bone on some good ways of finding a farm to hunt on. Driving out there in February to knock on doors will be my next plan.

Talk to friends and network. And don't be afraid to drive around and knock on doors.

My brother found a place to hunt through friends. A buddy of his has Dad and two brothers who farm. And an uncle close to their land. Brother has access to all their property. He helps out around the property, painting a house, fixing fences, etc. Very cool!

You will likely have to build a relationship with the farmer and family.

Good luck!

The mere mention of a lease available sure gets people going. It seems everyone is looking for low cost private access.

If you want to try a different approach try leasing the grazing rights which in many cases will include hunting access.
