Hello,
I just wanted to make a quick post on the true meaning of hunting. Hunting is a meaningfull part of a lot of peoples lives, not just to brag about the 200" mule deer or 300 class bull, or better the 800 yard shot like shown on tv. Its a lifestyle, and a lot of people lose sight of the true meaning and rewards even if the animal don't sport a huge rack. Some of my most exciting and lasting memories of hunts were often when I did not fill my tag. So let's not get caught up in the hype, and get back to the true meaning of hunting, enjoy yourself, have fun, teach someone else, take a kid, and be safe and respectfull.

Well said tracks
My dad taught me before he died to enjoy every minute in the woods and if you are lucky enough to take an animal and it makes you happy then go for it.

Yer darned tootin! Some of the best times in the mtns. for me have been without taking an animal. 25 years ago I watched yearling white tail run repeatedly into and thru a flock of turkeys, scattering them. The turkeys would group back up, and then the deer would do it again. A few years back while hunting late cow season I watched a BIG mulie fighting with other smaller (but respectable) bucks. He locked horns with a nice 4 pt. and pushed him 100+ yards down the mtn. in about 30 seconds. Of course, I had no deer tag.

Welcome to the forum. Totally agree. My favorite thing about hunting is getting back in the woods wand deer camp with my family.
