Anyone had any luck during their scouting? Im seeing alot of good bucks including a 3 point pushing 28" wide and 20" tall. Think that's on the top of my list. Got one BIG black bear im going to chase come August 1. Lets staystart the season!

Been a couple times in nv for my archery pronghorn and archery cow elk feel confident. Seen lots of goats and hopefully have some cows patterned. Ill be chasing them in 29 days and counting. 1 goat i found was up real high in elevation and ive got my sights set on him big cutters and hardly any curl id guess 7-8 inches above his cutters he was real unique and thats what im going for this year.

Ive made 3 solid trips into my area, but until just recently the snow was pretty deep still. I am headed back this weekend for a 2 nighter and I am hoping to spot some nice bucks! The previous trips were good for learning the terrain I guess.

After i found that big goat it was about 10a.m i said to myself i gotta find where he waters! About ten minutes later i find a nice trough covered in goat prints! I said " looks like i found my morning blind" and i watch the cow elk when i have a chance in the morning come piling out of the fields and straight up 1 of 2 canyons. There are some pronghorn in that area also so ill throw on the be the decoy pronghorn suit and see if they mind me being within bow range.

Found 2 waterholes that are full this year so I don't have to spot and stalk in the heat. Haven't gone out for deer but I have hunted the place for 3 consecutive years and I know where they are. Saw a bunch of shooters for pronghorn though so should be good.

I have 2 decent bucks spotted but they are not as large as your boy....they are blacktails. I also have a bear that I have not got a look at yet but he is laying beer can sized round dumps. I have a date with the area on Saturday August 1. Good Luck to all!

I usually try to mix in some fishing with scouting. Done a couple of trips for moose and seen a lot of sign, saw some deer in there, so getting a OTC tag for the same area. Going rafting down the river that is in the moose area for a possible cast & blast come Oct. Now for elk, making a scouting trip to include chinook fishing on the north side of the elk unit. Scouting is going to be tough this year!
