Firm believer in using my binocs and when sitting....using the spotter. Could be I spend an hour or two glassing and area could be all day. Could be I’m slowly walking in heavy timber, stopping and quietly looking ahead. Amazing what you can see through the thick stuff. I think, as most would say, your glass is a very important tool in the quiver. 🦌
IMHO .. out here in the west, good glass is the single most important item I own for hunting. more important even then the weapon one chooses.

IF I were hunting in the east ,or in dense cover , maybe not so much

Several hours in the morning until the bucks go to bed. Then I'm hiking all day off and on glassing and looking for bucks in their beds. Then comes evening glassing. So pretty much all day long I'm glassing. Fatrascal.
