How do you carry your optics when bowhunting elk?

I have the X50 classic with Max pocket..I use 10×45 zeiss rfs...so I went with the larger bag. I'm definitely happy I got the max pocket. I'll be able to carry everything I would want for a full day of antelope, or a stalk on a highcountry Buck or bull that could end up in a full day event like they sometimes do. The pockets to me do not seem bulky at all, and I personally like the ability to bring some extra things with me and not have to have my full pack on. .being the larger size bag, it still feels compact when I have it on and it doesn't interfere at all when shooting my bow which I have been doing every night

Thanks for the feedback, I like the idea of having enough room to carry GPS, Rangefinder, wind checker along with your glasses without adding them to your straps in separate cases. Plus some extra space to carry a few odds and ends.

I like the basement pocket on the AGC. I put my havalon and e-lite in there. Two things I always want on me.

I use the Nikon Retractable Rangefinder Tether and it works excellent. I clip the tether to the shoulder strap on my pack, to the very top of my shoulder. (If there isn't a loop to clip to on my shoulder strap I put one there) That way the rangefinder settles between the ball of my shoulder and where my pectoral muscle starts. I'm right handed so i have it on my right shoulder. The amount of movement to bring the rangefinder from the right clavicle to my eye is very minimal, which I find extremely important when bowhunting. This is where the retractable part is nice too. If you let go to clip on, it sucks right back in out of the way instead of dropping or swinging on a cord.

The binocular harnesses with a pouch probably do a fantastic job of carrying a rangefinder. My setup is more geared for those moment of truth times when there is a bull at 40 yards and I don't want to have to find a pocket to get the rangefinder out of, or back into.

Also, the rangefinder rides well too. It doesn't swing around or get in the way if positioned properly.

I just got the Horn Hunter Bino Hub. I dig it so far. Just been using it around the yard with my pack and what not. Doesn't get in the way while I'm shooting and seems to stay put. I'm gonna take it for a hike and see how that shakes out.
