I bought an Arcteryx pack which isn't hunter specific but they are the best of the best for comfort and quality but you pay for it ($500-600) If I put a good amount of weight in it and go a good distance 15+ miles Im a hurtin unit at the end.. I couldn't imagine doing that with a cheap pack that doesn't fit me as well as my Arcteryx.

I also know a guy that's selling his arcteryx medium 75 or 65 liter altra if interested

Been doing se digging and found that kuiu offers a ultra 6000 that is the same price as the blue widow I was looking at and weighs 3 lbs 9oz. Camo is odd but the weight is great

I have used both the J34 and badlands to pack elk out with. Neither were my packs, but ones I wanted to try out from buddies. Neither did it for me. I simply couldnt get the loads to ride like i need them too in a pack. I ended up going with Horn Hunter full curl and have been pleased with it for the most part. Only have packed one elk and only done one back country trip with the full curl, but it worked great for me...

Probably not near the lightest back on the market, but I like my equipment to be durable.
