Hello from Washington DC!

I'm in DC for a while, maybe a year or more. I kinda hate it here.

Anyone know any places nearby that I could go for a hunt on? Work is getting stressful and I need to relax. I like providing for myself and spending some me time in the woods with some white tails would be great.
I think I am willing to drive for 2-3 hours to get there. At least maybe the drive will be relaxing.

There is good whitetail hunting in Virginia. Here's a decent article about the state's best counties and regions. Some of the best are very close to DC. http://www.gameandfishmag.com/hunting/best-big-buck-states-for-2014-virginia/

You can also see find out where deer are causing damage due to their population. Here's a link to game warden contact information, animal control, etc for each VA county. I would call the ones in the top counties for deer harvest, which are mainly in northern Virginia.

Welcome. I used to live in Va Beach and hunt up NW of Charlottesville ( lots of white tail).....I bet just doing an internet search would turn up options west and south west of you a few hours.
