Just wanted to introduce myself now that I finally set up an account on the forum. I have read through countless threads on here over the last year as well as subscribing to the eastmans hunting journal and decided I was missing out by not joining the forum.

I am a 24 year old who loves the outdoors particularly managing and hunting mature whitetails. Please note that I enjoy it much more than I succeed at it! I also enjoy hunting turkey, waterfowl, and various small game. I have never hunted outside of Tennessee but am planning to start taking trips out to Colorado and/or Wyoming over the next few years to try my hand at some Western spot and stalk hunting which is something I have always wanted to do but never made happen. I will probably be doing DIY hunts on public ground for elk (cows first most likely), mule deer, and pronghorn in no particular order. Right now my brother-in-law and I are tentatively planning a cow elk hunt in South Central WY for next year. Once we have selected an area I will probably be asking questions about tactics for hunting elk in dessert regions!

I know this forum is mostly Western hunting but if anyone has questions about food plots, stand placement, or other whitetail stuff please PM me and I will see if I can help!

Thanks for the welcome guys! I'm looking forward to learning a lot about hunting on the other side of the Mississippi River and hopefully helping others out once I know a little more than which direction to point my truck in to get out there.

Welcome to the forum neighbor to the south!! If you have any questions on Antelope or Mule Deer units in WY I'd be glad to help with what limited experience that I have. I've studied them more than I have hunted them, but know what units I want to build points for if that is something you are interested in doing. Good luck!!
