Hi everyone!
My name is Jake and I am 24 years old, from Greensburg, PA. I'm currently in my second year of pharmacy school and first year of MBA school at WVU, and earned my undergraduate degree from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA. My three greatest passions are hunting, fishing, and of course, the Pittsburgh Steelers!
Growing up in southwestern PA, my hunting has been mostly limited to whitetails, turkeys, and small game. I was also invited to hunt wild boars in Georgia on several occasions, which is an absolute blast if you've never tried it. Regrettably, I won't be able to make it out west for a fall hunt anytime soon because I have an additional two years of classes before I graduate. Nevertheless, I started applying for points in several states starting last spring so that I will have opportunities to hunt as soon as I graduate! My true passion is archery, but the rifle comes in handy when I need to fill the freezer or strike-out with the bow.
I have never been out west myself, but have thoroughly enjoyed reading, watching, and seeing pictures of the experiences other hunters have had, and am looking forward to my first western adventure in May for spring bears in Idaho! I have no experience hunting in the west, but would be glad to answer any questions to the best of my ability, including anything about hunting in the eastern states. Please don't hesitate to ask, because the Lord knows I could use a break from my studies every once in a while!
