I'm "new" here. I've been trolling for a few years but haven't joined until now. I have really enjoyed many of yall's stories and helpful tips. The stories have helped to keep my dream of hunting Mule deer out west alive. I first started dreaming of a western hunt about 8 years ago and was lucky enough to have a gentleman share some good info with me about hunting Wyoming. I have yet to make it out there. I can't seem to get a hunting partner and money lined up at the same time. I should have my tail kicked for not buying points all these years. I think I'm going to start buying deer points for Wyoming and Colorado. I would also like to tag an Elk someday but Muley is first on my list in case the other never happens. I've been studying the OTC Elk tags for Colorado in thinking that will be the route I have to go. I can't imagine me ever having enough extra coin to drop on a guide. So, I'll have to try and make it out there with hopes of the best on public land. I have been lucky enough to get a couple buddies to commit to hunting Muleys in NW Nebraska this fall on Public land. I guess they're too afraid to get another 7 hours from home and enter Wyoming. LOL.
Thanks again for the info you guys and gals share here. I hope to put some of it to good use someday. I'm open and grateful to any and all helpful tips and suggestions or even generous invitations that anyone may want to pay forward. Good luck to all of you. I pray your health will carry you on many more hunts and your freezers will always be full. Thanks again.
