Greetings from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

My name is Dirk, grew up hunting with my dad and brothers in UT. Moved to CDA, Idaho where I have lived for 20 years. I miss hunting the Quakies, sage, high desert etc. All I see up here is Pine Trees...for miles. Just getting back into hunting instead of just watching Eastmans and telling myself, some day.

I'm planning on putting in for CO mule deer this with 1 or 2 of my boys. Can't decide on unit 18/28/37/371 or units 181/27. 3rd rifle season.

Looked at all the maps, stats, harvest reports, Onx maps, etc. Just need some good advice from someone who may know these areas.

Thanks

Not just for your benefit, but for anyone with 0 points looking for where to put in for Colorado deer at the last minute, here's an Eastmans' freebie for you guys.

The best CO deer units in which you have a better than even chance of drawing with 0 points for 3rd season are 33, 64, 75 and 751. All have 50% or more public land and roughly 50-60% 3-year harvest success, good buck to doe ratios and good deer density. Draw odds last year ran 57% - 69% with 0 points.

Check them out, but don't wait until next week to apply because the new system is liable to get a heavy workload and phone help will be tied up.
