Hello all,

Hope everyone had an enjoyable thanksgiving! I've been admirer of the forum from afar for a long time because the reality of me getting a chance to head out west for a hunt has been bleak. Well, with my youngest almost finished with college it looks like that may change. I'm an avid bowhunter and have enjoyed chasing whitetails for years. Believe me NH is not known as a whitetail Mecca but i've been fortunate over the years.

So I've finally joined the forum hoping to learn as much as possible and offer whatever a New England whitetail bow hunter can to this group. (I suspect not much). My dream hunt would be a wilderness backcountry hunt for elk with my bow during the rut. Currently have 0 points so the plan is start accumulating points and learn what I can. Any tips and thoughts on how best to make my plan come together would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a pic a buck I'm chasing making a scrape 20yards from my stand which has been named the killing tree because I've taken 4 deer from this stand in the last 2 seasons. image.jpgimage.jpg
