Hello from Nevada

Hello everyone despite my screen name this will be my first year hunting big game. Ive been with friends on some hunts with friends but I finally decided I wanted to hunt and I drew a buck tag and cow elk tag my first time.
I will be hunting the ruby mtns this winter and am very excited. Good luck to you all this season and I will see you on the forums and in the mountains.

I drew 101-109 late any weapon. Also got the depredation cow elk tag for same hunt and two other friends drew same hunt so it'll be a blast I'm sure. I see its a full moon during that hunt but hopefully we can have some clouds and weather to help us out. I'm really pumped to finally go on a hunt and not just be eyes for someone else. And hope the first two hunts leave some deer for us. Hahaha
As for work I'm a carpenter working tract homes.

I've had that late season rifle tag several times and have one ths year too. It can be quite good especially if we get snow. Though
usually it's dry and COLD. Been all over that area and have yet to see and elk on the mountain. They like to hang out down on the fields with the cattle on private property. I'm sure there are some elk on the mountain someplace I just haven't seen them.

Yes sir I will take lots of pics hopefully of some nice downed bucks. I'm hoping that we will have time to search some other areas for my cow. We are planning on eight days so I'm confident we will get r done. The guy I'm hunting with has hunted the area a lot so that's a big plus for me.
