Hello, I'm Mike and have been hunting for more than 40 years. I've been mostly a meat hunter until I was bitten by the sheep bug 7 years ago. I've yet to cut a tag on one yet but spend weeks every year in pursuit.
Between work and hunting I spend between 4 to 6 months a year living in a tent.

Welcome to the forum! I feel you on the sheep bug! I helped a buddy a couple years ago on his hunt! Hooked ever since, just need the tag now.

Thanks guys, here in Alberta trophy sheep is an over the counter tag in most zones ( every year they threaten to put it on draw ). Every fall when I'm packing up camp to go home I'm planning the next years scouting and hunting trips. I receive my EHJ on my iPad so I can read it in my tent at night on my solo hunting trips. I look forward to sharing hunting stories and learning from the fine guys and gals on this site.

I work in oilfield construction. They do pay us living out allowance and most guys stay in motels, but rather than driving an hour back to town at night and laying around a motel room watching tv I'd rather cut fire wood and have the wolves sing me to sleep.
