Hello, I've been a member here for a few years and have gotten some great info off of this forum and I thank you guys for that! I'm looking for some pointers on my next adventure. I have a friend living in Laramie, Wy. We are looking into hunting in unit 10 for elk and unit 75 for mule deer. We plan on spending a week scouting this coming summer and then returning in the fall to hunt. I'm just looking for some does and don'ts maybe some areas to avoid. I'm not looking for anyone's honey hole, just a little more info if anyone has hunted there.

Thank you all, Noah.

Where you find them in summer might be void come hunting season.
I'd take that week of summer scouting and use it one week before the opener.

Deer are far and few between. Get off the roads, and hiking trails about a mile and you'll find the elk. Not a ton of elk, but enough to have a good hunt.
