Hard horns in G & H wyoming??

Do you think the bucks in the high country of G & H units will be hard horned by rifle opener?

Lots of bucks are polished off in northern and central Colorado, I'd guess they are starting in Wyoming too. An opinion worth the price of admission.

Same in Ca. Been deer hunting the last two days. All decent bucks are rubbed clean. The small spikes and forkys are still fuzzy.

Watched a big buck shed his velvet over the weekend in G..seen others fully hard horned. .and plenty still in full velvet. .I would guess most will be hard horned in a week, but not all

I have hunted G several times in the opening week of the season and from my experience, yes they have removed most of the velvet and in the high country during that time is where you should be.

 

[Wyoming Hart]

Saw a mixture of both on my hunt during the first week. Probably more in velvet yet than were out. My buck had a small amount hanging on both of his backs.
