I'm the patriarch of our family so it falls to me to say the Thanksgiving meal prayer.
I always get choked up because I can't help looking around at all the loved ones God has blessed me with - 4 wonderful adult children, 12 amazing young grandkids and an awesome wife of 42 years that I've never loved more. Best of all, I love how my kids are raising their kids.
All the craziness, the smells from the kitchen, women racing to get a gigantic meal delivered while men talk about being hungry...laughter and hugs and belly aches - it just doesn't get much better.

Hoshour, thank you for keeping us all in check with your posts. We had our thanksgiving dinner tonight and when our meal prayer was said, I couldn't help but think of everything I am personally thankful for, a loving wife of 16 years, two amazing children, and a family that the good lord above has blessed me with. In addition, all of the other great things and people in my life including those on this forum. Your right, it doesn't get much better!
