If you haven't seen any big mulie bucks in #87, you're looking in the wrong places.I believe Wyo is in trouble if 87 is the best mule deer unit Wyo has to offer! I usually don't like to flair any feathers but strongly disagree with that statement! I agree that it would be a quality hunt experience due to few tags and neat country to hunt...but if you are searching for a true wall hanger B&C buck you might want to search elsewhere! I've spent a great deal of time in parts of that unit and it has HORRIBLE genetics. Lots of small to medium sized 3x's that are the norm. With that said, there are scattered decent muley bucks in 87 but it is a far cry from the best muley unit in the state! Yikes if it is!!!! There are other places in Carbon County where the genetics are a lot better...if they can survive enough rough winters and hunting pressure.
I consider a 27" plus spread and good mass a big Mulie. I've seen quite a few like that in #87.What do you consider big?
Yup. Every time it makes it onto this list the odds get worse.I was considering one of those units - hope I can draw now.
on the other sideof that coin, in those units that don't make the list, the odds get a wee better.Yup. Every time it makes it onto this list the odds get worse.
