What do you guys use for a gun Sling? Was looking a new packs and also weighing the benefits of how they carry a rifle. From Eberlstocks gun scabbard to the Kifaru, Stone Glacier concepts. Wondering if anyone has tried different methods and can advise.

I was looking more at the gun bearer systems that have a cradle to attach the gun to your pack with a quick release strap. When I have tried to use a normal rifle sling it just seems to slip off my shoulder of fatigue it. Both Kifaru and Stone Glacier make a system that hooks to the pack frame.

I prefer the brownells Latigo style sling (or my own version made from webbing) carried on a gunhook.

The gunhook carries all the weight of the rifle on the frame of the pack, while still maintaining extremely fast access. An optional buttstock strap gives total rifle control.

I have considered moving over to a safari sling, I currently have the butler creek which has been a great sling just feel it has a tendancy to wander off the shoulder at times. THoughts?

I used to like the butler creek neoprene slings but have switched to the Claw, it does not slip off of the shoulder and they have a couple different styles to choose from. I was skeptical at first but glad I switched. I would like to try the gun bearer sometime after reading so many good reviews, it would be nice to be totally hands free.

I really like the Thermoplastic rubber slings from slogan outdoors. They are excellent and they are all I use anymore. The eberlestock gun scabbards are excellent and are probably the biggest reason I choose eberlestock packs over others.
