I have the chugach and it's my favorite piece of clothing. It goes everywhere with me; it's like my security blanket. It is a technical shell, made to keep you dry and cut wind, and breathe, and it does all those very well. It is very light and packable, but surprisingly warm. I don't want a heavy coat because I always bring layers. It has always kept me dry, and in two years the DWR has not even knapped out. Every time I put it on I am amazed at how breathable it is for a rain jacket (or any jacket). It is also quite stretchy. The vias camo seems to work very well, even in the snow. If you hunt in rocks or dead grassy vegetation, this will be perfect. I also have a Sitka stormfront (for my wife, same size) and it sits in the closet.
The fit is athletic and perfect for me, and true to size. It is not baggy like most rain gear, but still has room for three layers underneath. I could see it getting tight at the waist, so you may order up a size. Or, take your measurements and call them, they could probably tell you what size to order.
