Ok, here's the numbers.
Most under guessed this buck, including myself.
The buck gross scored 193" and had around 40" of mass.
His outside spread was 28.5"
I'm guessing that buck on the left in the video was pushing 30" wide and 200".

Here's a field photo after it was shot to show the mass better and how truly big his back for were.

One of Mike?s tried and true rules when field judging a buck is that any mature buck who has fronts that are in the same plane as the backs is a good buck.

That applies to both of these bucks, but I think what doomed us all here(myself included, I thought low 180?s) was the velvet and noggin size. 18-22 inches is what their ear width is. Betting these bucks had big melons which threw things off a bit.

I guess next time I'll specify either gross or final net score needs to be given.
Sorry, Ridge.....I was just ribbing ya a bit in fun. It's a nice buck and I enjoy reading your posts!

No worries.
This is all for fun anyways but hopefully some people will realize deer can be very hard to judge from video and pictures.
With the narrow spreads that people were guessing, was assuming that they were probably guessing gross scores but I'm not really sure at this point.
Hopefully several people will participate in the next post I just started.

At least I was close on the width as I stated 25" for an inside width. However I was a bit low on the score at 169 vs the 193.
I'm ready for the next 'test'. Was a lot of fun. Thanks again!
