Respectfully.... I would have to disagree. Very few folks are going to be super selective. I would imagine the first mature boar they see, it will go down. Therefore in my opinion, that just makes them a hunter/conservationist (not that trophy hunters aren?t). Conservation is managing wildlife populations at a sustainable population. It has been identified that the grizzly bear has reached that population, therefore it is now time to manage.
So now we, as the people, have 2 options, at a cost, for the states to manage or as a revenue source for the state, and allow hunters to manage.
My vote is the sound business practice. Easy to throw the hunters under the bus here but in my opinion it?s basic economics. Not to mention, once again, generally speaking, the hunters are the true conservationists with their financial and physical efforts put forth every year.
