Typical for just about any article out of NYT I have several hunting friends off the east coast very dedicated but outnumbered by liberal idiots so I feel your frustration if they don't put money into the system via Pittman Robertson or licenses keep your mouth shut about issues such as this

She probably is against the delisting of the Wolfs also!
It's funny how some people are totally against hunting (harvesting of animals), but they totally support and go crazy over an animal/animals that totally wreak havoc on another species or multiple species. There is no way that they would want wolves or grizzlies living around them, but as long as they are in Timbuktu, they want them to flourish. There are so many people in that value the life of an animal over a person's life or livelihood, it's a shame. What a wonderful world we live in.

I would like to relocate a few of these Bears and set them loose in New York and see if people change their minds ...

As far as I know, there are plenty of fruits and nuts in Central Park, 24/7/365, so the Griz would flourish and probably not even need to hibernate. Not sure how the Wolves would do, but I suspect the rats would sustain them if larger prey proved elusive.

There seems to be a lot of panhandlers, beggars and druggies roaming NYC. The Grizzlies relocated to Central Park ought to thin those numbers considerably.
