Grizzlies

May be venturing into 362 this fall, was wondering if any locals could lend some information about how serious the grizzly population is in there these days?

I have hunted the north end of 362, bears are obviously present, if you plan on hunting in this area you need to be bear aware, bear spray and clean camp. Read everything on this site regarding hunting in grizzly country and be smart.

Tenstrike, when did you hunt there? How was the elk population? We're there lots of wolves?? I don't hunt that district, but just curious about those things. I heard there was lots of wolves

I have only hunter the far north end of 362, I hunt primarily in 360, the word is there are a lot of wolves in the area but we have not seen any, mostly hunting in mid-September. Not seeing a wolf doesn't mean much as I live in wolf central and you don't see them all that often but sign is always present.

I hunt 324 I heard wolves on opening morning last year. I also live in wolf central here in Minnesota. We literally not no deer left. I refuse to buy a Minnesota deer license because of it.

Ten four tenstrike, spent a few nights in there last month chasing black bears no sightings but a lot of big bear tracks assuming grizzly but I'm no professional.
