Great article NVBird, thanks. Did they ever say what their immigration status was? Oh well, they're all set for amnesty by O'bummer's pending executive order anyway, so it's a moot point I guess.
Yeah I didn't see anything about immigration status but I think it's pretty obvious what it was. Just an example of having no regard for the law no matter what you are doing. I doubt my state will ever see the money owed. My bet is the guys either head back south or stay and get locked up serving a fraction of the time only to be granted amnesty upon release. Illegal or not, these guys are scumbags in every sense of the word.

Here's another bust that was just sent out by email this PM and it involves 4 guys from Wisc. I hope they lose their hunting priviledges for a good number of years in Wyoming and all the other Wildlife Violator Compact states to put a stop to a lot of this stuff. We have to be involved in letting the G&F know if we see violations because, as the Warden stated, they can't cover their huge areas well without a lot of help from the public! Here is the G&F News Release!

WRIGHT – On November 20, 2014 four Wisconsin residents were arrested south of Wright, Wyoming after the discovery of an antlered mule deer that was poached on November 18, 2014. The investigation is currently ongoing and evidence is still being analyzed.

The arrests were made in this case because a member of the public heard about the incident and notified a Wyoming Game and Fish Department game warden. Due to the prompt action of the public and game wardens, the hunting party was contacted before they left Wyoming. The individuals that killed the mule deer buck in Hunt Area 10, which closed to mule deer hunting on October 7, were issued citations.

South Gillette Game Warden Dustin Kirsch said, “Game wardens really appreciate the public’s interest and involvement when it comes to wildlife related crimes. We can’t be everywhere so having more ‘eyes’ out there helps us protect Wyoming’s wildlife resources.”
