First time I've ever had to make this. Worst tasting $268 soup I've ever had!

-Ingredients-

1 Utah General Buck Tag
2 Cups warm water
Salt
Pepper

-Directions-

Combine Buck Tag and Water into a stock pot and bring to a boil. Simmer until the smell of aspen leaves your nostrils. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Enjoy with a bitter beverage such as GG's Bitter Defeat (another thread, another time!) Best eaten warm to sooth the belly pains and nausae stemming from passing too many bucks early in the hunt.

Full write up tommorrow. Thank you to so many on Eastman's! You guys are awesome!

Lol...unfortunately I have that same recipe with CO elk. Although elk tag soup is better than deer tag soup.
I've heard the Elk tag isnt as gamey. Have to try it someday. Someone suggested using beef stock instead of water. But i prefer my game tags to be free range and organic! #SayNoToGMO

Been eating tag soup off and on for years. Never much liked it, but it has not killed me yet. Chicken stock, onion, garlic and pepper help. If it is a rutty tag, powered ginger helps a bunch.
