Illegal to pick em up from jan 1st to April 15th I think. If those are 15 sheds, they're illegal. But wouldn't surprise me. They caused this law

Already shedding? The whitetail rut is just kicking in here. Nobody shed hunts until late April here and sometimes they still haven't dropped.

We picked up six in late December. November was cold. I think it added stress.

I saw three Muley bucks today, two still packin and one had lost one antler. Here in Utah we can start in February as long as you take an online shed hunting course.

I hate the shed season some states have in place. we are free to look here whenever, used to be a zone that had a restriction but they couldn't enforce it if wildlife wasn't actually present where one was looking. I talked to a fish cop about it and he told me that if you looking for sheds is disturbing the wildlife that are wintering then that's enough for a ticket, but if no wildlife is being disturb feel free to look all you want, its your right! we had a season for it in one zone just due to the fact of the monster bulls that drop sheds and the amount of people lined up looking, hell, they even have cops out there preventing fights. ha, silly.
