I'm interested in buying a go-pro camera ,there's a 299 .00 camera and a 399.00 camera any feed back on either camera?

I would recommend the JVC adixxion over go pro. It is lighter, less to no noticible fish eye water proof right out of the box. Has a mount on the side and the bottom.
Overall a better product and less money.

Are you using it for hunting? If so GoPros have there place but the audio leaves a lot to be desired. Also you cannot zoom in or out with a GoPro they are pretty much point and shoot.I would rather have a smaller video camera than a GoPro. Mark

Depends what you are using it for. No zoom with most POV cameras like GoPro and without a flat lens, the GoPro underwater footage is blurry. Here is one of my fishing videos on the crystal clear Devils River in Texas. I was running two GoPros at the same time and my underwater camera did have the flat lens on it.

Another thing to consider is that the footage looks good out to about 30yds or so on a animal. After that due to the lens a animal looks far away and cannot be zoomed in on. I use a Contour point and shoot on the boat and have the same problem with underwater film. The object has to be fairly close for good detail unless you are just using it for landscape or really close up video for fill in footage. As mentioned before the audio is not good at all. I personally like outdoor video with good audio.

I already have a small Sony video recorder , It's good if u r already set up in a blind or treestand ,It's a pain in the butt if ur running and gunning, so I'm trying to find something to fill that void, ,of all the different action cams out there they all seem to have their plus and minus's so just trying to get actual hunting experience on them all before spending more money,LOL

I did a lens swap myself on that camera but that was two years ago. Now you can buy the flat lens housing direct from GoPro

I had one for a season and they are fun but not exactly what I had in mind. Thus the moral to this short story. Know what you are after.. it was super fun the first season but I could only watch myself draw back a bow, shoot a gun and stealthily walk thru the woods a few times before it got old and quickly got left behind.

Also check out the Drift HD Ghost... This Camera is not Cheap either ($399.99)... Noticed that it looked like it had Really Good Video Quality and It Looks Like (Do Some Research) it has an easy to use remote that straps to your wrist.....

I have the Hero3 Black edition and I can testify its best when used at 30yrds or less. The audio leaves much to be desired, but it is great to be able to run this camera with the wifi remote and to be able to point and shoot without any additional distraction. It tracks the arrow great and with the high-speed recording options, its perfect for slow motion impact shots in the 15-25 yard range. I also have a Cannon GL2 that's nice, but its cumbersome and requires a lot more involvement to get great footage.

I would have to agree that with Any type of (Action Camera) you are probably looking at a 30 yard max for any decent footage...... I never New that there was so many of these Action Camera's out there Noticed at least 7..... WOW...... The Drift HD Ghost, JVC Addixxon and Hero 3.... All looked pretty good and I'm Sure each of them have there Plus and Minuses.....

I know what you mean!! A video is only as good as the audio that goes with it.

I use my go pro for action sports. I would think go pros of hunting would get boring. I use the chest mount for mountain biking and attatched a mount for my snowmobile.
