GMU 54 3rd Season Rifle Help needed

Hello all,

Drew 3rd season rifle tag for deer in GMU 54. Never hunted this unit. Can anyone give me some advice on areas to scout out this summer/fall? Spoke with biologist for the area and got a little info but anything else would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for replying. I have never hunted this unit. I am heading out for some scouting this summer. I got a map of the area and spoke with the biologist for the unit as well. It looks like most of the fall/winter range stuff is in the south west portion of the unit. Lot's of public land everywhere!

Any areas you could give me to check out to help narrow down my search a little would be awesome. Going in blind
What was your take about the unit from hunting there? When was the last time you hunted there?
