I was able to draw a limited leftover 3rd season buck tag for unit 27/181. I also plan on picking up a doe and cow tag (cow tag will be for 181), come August 2nd.
I've hunted units around these, just not the units themselves. From what I've read, tons of hunters and a lot of private land...
Still want to get out there and put in a good effort though. I plan on scouting the units well in the next couple weeks, but looking for any advice/tips from anyone familiar with the areas.
Is it worth trying to reach out to private land owners? I've heard they can be rough and not the friendliest up there.
Not looking for a trophy, just really want to fill the freezer for the family again this year.
