Hey y'all I'm am from the middle Georgia area looking to make some great memories out west hunting elk with my Mathews bow in hand. I've been searching through some threads and find that it can be a bit overwhelming considering all the knowledge there is out there to know about not only hunting but preference of points and things of that nature. I don't have any big aspirations of killing a 370 class elk. To me its more about getting out there and having the memories that will last a lifetime. And also so that when my son becomes of age I can take him as well. Just would like for someone to point me in the right direction and I will try to take it from there.

If I wanted to put in for an elk and not wanting to wait for years down the road, what is a good option? Again I'm not looking to make the record books with it just mainly wanting to get my boots on the ground. Thanks for any help.
Montana, Idaho, or Colorado is what you are looking for if you want antlers.
