My buddy pointed out an app for an iPhone that has a bunch of maps and tracking stuff built into it. It costs $20 and is called GAIA GPS: Topo Maps and Trails for Offline Hiking. It has a ton of topos, so now maybe a guy wouldn't necessarily need a bunch of paper maps to take with him. I'm still a paper map fan because they never run out of batteries, but just wondering if anyone has used this app and if it is any good. He has been comparing it to some topo maps he has and says its spot on and pretty easy to use, but other than that not much experience with it.
