I would like to share the story of one of my close friends. The last year for him has been a roller coaster of highs and lows.
Last fall in October he married his beautiful wife.
Fast forward to this spring: He got the phone call from his mom that she had to have a biopsy of her abdomen.
After the biopsy she found out she had cancer and started chemotherapy right away. So the Roller coaster for him and his family began. She had good days and bad days. But she knew what was planned for her and made some trips back to Colorado to enjoy the mountains and see family.
The cancer ended up claiming her life at a very young age in modern standards.
So my friend with the lows and highs loves to hunt turkey in Missouri and fish; plus has showed interest in deer hunting but funds wouldn't allow it as he was helping to care for his mother.
All of his friends, me included came up with the idea of funding a deer rifle for him. After long talks with his wife we found the perfect rifle. A new Remington 700 7mm rem mag.
Yesterday was when we presented it to him.
He had tears of joy and all he could say was;
"Wow..... Is that really mine."
We plan to take him hunting on the Missouri rifle opener and see if he can get his first deer.
