I found a real nice Garmin a few years ago, it had one way point named HOME so I followed it to a softball field but there was no tent or camper there. I then checked the other way points and the MOB way point but came up with nothing. I then called Garmin's customer service number and gave them the serial number, no one had registered it yet. I went back up into the area that I found it over two weekends and no one said that they had lost a GPS. I figured that I had done enough. I called Garmin back and they sent me free of charge all the accessories that came with it brand new. It already had a OnX Maps Colorado map in it so I was set.

Good luck finding who ever lost it.

Nice of you to try to find the owner!

Blackhall Mountain is close to the Beaver Creek fire...can you give us a fire report? I'll bet it's pretty smoky. How far into Wyoming is the fire?

We left Tuesday, as of Tuesday the fire had closed several roads around the Bear Mountain area, it was expected to move farther into Wyoming. Thats what I got. I know we could see some serious smoke from our camp site.

Bringing this back up, I thought I had found the owner, but he lost an different GPS in the area, so has anyone else lost a GPS in the what seems to be the bermuda triangle known as southern Wyoming?
