For sale: Winchester model 70 barrel in .270 win (new)

I pulled this barrel off of a used Model 70 I bought for a rifle build. This thing looks like it is brand new and still had cosmoline in the action. I am not quite sure how much to ask. Does $100.00 plus shipping sound fair? I'd like to see someone get use out of it.

Chamber - very little wear seen. Looks new to me - maybe a few rounds fired.







It's a 24" Classic Sporter contour barrel

George the barrel is still for sale. This barrel has the finer threads that they are using now at Winchester when they install the barrels. My understanding is that the threads can be re-cut by any competent gunsmith and it would work just fine. At least that is what I have been told.

Even though you missed out this will make you feel better. The person I gave it too is looking for a left hand model 70 action to make build a .270 Winchester for his son who is about 5 so when he gets a bit older to start shooting and hunting, he has a rifle. Cant' hardly argue with that one!
