"This ultra compact tripod compresses down to a scant 11″ and extends to 22.5″ making it ideal for backpacking of saddlebags. When combined with the Outdoorsmans Short Extension Tube( purchased separately for $110.99), it will elevate to a height of 32.5″. Weight spec is 1.8lbs"

I personally own 2-mediums and 1-short. All with the center post extention. I have not found a better tripod. If this was a medium, there would be no hesitation picking it up....
The short is perfect for the pack-in hunter.
