Last night, I had the honor of attending the Pens 2017 season closing ceremony and the raising of the championship banner as well as the 2017-18 home opener. It was an incredible experience to be there and witness history.
The place was rocking like Game 7 of the finals even after the 5-4 OVT loss.

You can be glad you weren't at the game the night after that one! Glad you got to see the banner raised. I won the shirts off their backs promotion a couple years back and got Tyler Kennedy's signed jersey from him on the ice. Oh yeah and Geno and Sid were coming out as I was still on the ice. Never forget that experience.

Sid and crew are great, but Mario is still the best IMHO and all class.

Very cool, I got to watch Sid play in 2007. His talent is ridiculous and I hope that Pens fans realize just how much fun this is right now.

Growing up an Avs fan when Sakic and Forsberg were in their primes I didn't take it all in the way I should have. One lockout later and the band was broken up and we are still struggling to rebuild.
