Nice day Lax. We've put 2015 to rest and now on to 2016. Just reminded me to, I need to get to the river. Bee pattern may not be working right now Pete, it's been too cold down here. Haha. Maybe hoppers??

We have more bee's in the Central Valley of California right now than pollinating trees, so I went with it. Grasshoppers would be my second choice. I'm still a novice at choosing the right pattern! I will endeavor to perceiver!

I've been fishing the river totally different the last four times and it's paid off huge. I know guys that only use rapalas or crocodiles and I myself used mostly panther martins or tried to jig a curly tail. I'm still using plastics but found a great way to not snag as much or collect so much damn algae. I'm looking forward to trying a hellgramite and a scudbug soon.

Ice is disappearing fast here in MT with the temps getting up into the 50's. Won't be long before the boat gets to come back out!

Haven't been able to fish with the wind blowing but certainly took advantage of the bass pro reel trade in to be ready when it lays down!

yeah ordered them thru cabelas, waiting for them to arrive. cant recall name of them, have the bottoms you can swap out for felt or the rubber. ice was super thin with open spots in it, just wasn't fishable, water was open above and below my spot but river is way to low to fish those spots, any day now

I went and spent the day on Lake Houston helping a buddy get a mess of blue cat for a fish fry at his work. Cold front blew in last night and started the day off 41, but by noon it was already high 70s. Wind picked up at 2 and they shut off with about a 2hr window. Managed to boat 18 is all. Lived on this lake for 3 years now and still don't know squat about it.

With our above average snowpack around here, all the lakes will be brim full starting the season. I am looking for a great year fishing. Probably head over to Lake Powell a couple of times too. I am going to put some hours on the pontoon boat!

Great to see a new thread started good luck to all in 2016.

Here is my latest contribution from yesterday. Biggest of the year 43" and close to if not over 30 lbs. Only one pic as he went back in fast and is still swimming. Not the best pic but that is a sz 13 pack boot in the pic.
